Psoas Treatment

Focus

Psoas are two deep muscles, which run from the lesser trochanter of the femur (thigh bone) though the abdominal region to the hip and spine.

Benefits

Because of the location of psoas, it can be the source of lower back pain. The hip holds also a lot of emotional tension, which can get freed up. Recipients seem to have interesting experiences after the session, which range from motivation to do major house cleaning to falling in love.

Session

Psoas sessions are typically not the first session, so that the recipient is familiar and comfortable with the touch of the therapist. Working deep in the abdominal region requires a bond of trust between the therapist and recipient. The work progresses slowly. Some people are very open for other people, it might take more then a session to be able to reach psoas. The session is balanced with working on the six deep lateral rotators and quadratus lomborum, which all play together.
